Marcie Williams is a native of Fort Valley, Georgia. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Sociology from Emory University. She worked as a chemist for 10 years before pursuing her passion for education. This is Ms. Williams’ 18th year in education. She received a Montessori Teaching Certificate and taught as a Montessori Lead Teacher for 12 years. This is her 6th year teaching in the Houston County School System. Ms. Williams taught at Northside Elementary School for 3 years, 2019 - 2022. She was honored to be recognized as Northside Elementary School's Teacher of the Year for the 2021-22 school year. In 2022, Ms. Williams received her Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Special Education - General Curriculum. Ms. Williams began teaching at Eagle Springs Elementary school during the 2022-23 school term. This is her 4th year teaching at Eagle Springs Elementary School. She is very excited for the New Year.
