Hey there, my name is Diana Nelson and I absoutely love teaching 3rd grade!  Teaching has always been my passion and I am so blessed to be able to wake up everyday and do something that I truly love.  I am proud to say that I am a product of the Houston County School System (GO BIG RED!) and now my own children are just as fortunate to able to work their way through this wonderful school system.  I have two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Lauren, that are the absolute loves of my life and I am so lucky to be married to my best friend,Josh, who also happened to be one of my best friends in high school.

I have worked in the field of education for over 20 years.  I graduated from Middle Georgia State University and received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a dual certification in Special Education.  I also attended Georgia Southwestern University where I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education.

I believe that every child can learn and that it is important to embrace and encourage the whole child.  I strive to build positive relationships with not only my students, but with their families as well and I understand the importance of open communication. I will always encourage my students to reach their highest potential so that they can become successful adults one day!
