My name is Jennifer Nash and I have been a classroom teacher for 20 years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. I received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southwestern University. Lastly, I received my Specialist Degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University.
My husband Jamie teaches gifted science at Warner Robins Middle School and we have three sons. I have a fifth grader, a second grader and a 3 year old.
I am very excited to have your child in my classroom. I consider your child’s education and well-being to be of prime importance. You are invited to phone or visit the school any time that you have a question concerning your child’s progress. I will keep you informed by sending home weekly work on Tuesdays with attached assessments.
Please be sure that I know how your child is going home in the afternoons. Furthermore, if it is necessary to change your routine during the year, please do so by writing a note in the agenda. Sometimes children get confused; therefore, we will only change plans if they are written in the agenda.
We encourage all parents to become involved in the school. If you would like to volunteer by helping in the classroom, please let me know. The Houston County School System requires parent volunteer to provide a social security number, for the security clearance, and to attend a parent volunteer training session.
I consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to working with you to make kindergarten a super experience for your child!
